Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's degree proffered or 1-3 years of experience. Position requires expertise in establishing a counseling relationship within a crisis environment. Position also requires an independent, self motivated individual with effective communication skills. Individual must possess an ability to remain calm and rational and manage multiple priorities in a crisis intervention environment. Individual must also possess familiarity with the criminal system, government and nonprofit agencies as they relate to the issues of sexual assault. In addition, position requires awareness of feminism and sensitivity to the societal issues of violence against women and children. This position requires high sensitivity to cultural norms. Bilingual preferred.
