JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Master's degree preferred, with either Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Nursing.
Experience:
- 5 Years of directly related progressive experience at a management level required.
Licensure, and/or Certification:
- Active and current registered nursing license in the State of Florida.
- (CCHP) Certified Correctional Health Professional required or must be obtained within one (1) year of hire date.
- Advanced Nursing Administration certification is preferred.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification with at least 6 months validity required.
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
- Proven proficiency in business acumen, strategic planning, human resources management, financial management, information systems knowledge, organizational assessment and highly developed leadership skills.
- Ability to serve as role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing.
- Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to interact with others in a professional, courteous, tactful manner; ability to act as a consultant to management.
- Organize and prioritize; analyze situations and develop alternatives; analyze data and develop valid conclusions, develop clear, concise policies, procedures and correspondence; provide clear direction to others; manage duties in an environment of changing priorities and frequent deadlines.
