Clinical Staff Nurse
The Clinical Staff Nurse is a professional member of the health care team who assumes advocacy and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time. CSN provides a single standard of care to patients via the therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment, instrumentation and other health care team members. Performs independently and seeks support/direction as needed. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of their patients; demonstrate knowledge of growth and development; assess data reflective to patient’s status; and identify each patient’s requirements relative to age specific needs. Performs specific job criteria/performance standards according to prevailing applicable unit, division hospital and professional standards.
Experience: Minimum of 12 months experience preferred.
Education: BSN preferred.
Licensure Certification: Florida RN license required. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification with at least 6 months validity required. Must meet and maintain current all unit specific and organizational skills/competencies, certifications/licensures, as required by the nursing area. Florida RN license required. BSN preferred. BCLS, NRP BCLS, ACLS
Knowledge Skill Abilities: Ability to demonstrate literacy in using computerized information systems.
Education: BSN preferred.
