Selection Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architectural field, building sciences or construction management or other leadership education.
  • Facilities Certification Preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years management experience with 5 years healthcare facility management experience as well as 5 years hands on experience with building system diagnostic, repair and restoration experience.
  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge of healthcare facility regulation and compliance practices including satisfactory leadership of The Joint Commission Triennial certification and HCAPS improvement methodology.
  • High level of performance in preparing staffing plan and annual operating budget.  Develop estimates for repair and minor project budgets, service and repair contract definition and negotiation and scheduling timelines is required.
  • Knowledge of the various construction methods and materials, their characteristics, installation procedures and tolerances.
  • Demonstrate management know-how, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience or training in maintenance management systems is preferred.
  • Proficient with computer systems such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A mindset of Continuous Improvement is a must.
