Unit: Housekeeping (Downtown Miami)
Status: Full Time
Shift: Varies
This is specialized and supervisory work with some administrative responsibility. Incumbents are responsible for training, assigning, and supervising subordinates in the proper performance of the assigned supervisory activities of their unit. Employees in this class make independent work decisions based on experience and knowledge of departmental operations, but refer difficult technical policy or procedural questions to a superior for decisions. Supervision is received from an administrative superior, who determines effectiveness of the unit by personal observation, review of reports, public reaction to services provided, and personal conferences on unusual or difficult problems.
Selection Criteria:
- 2-3 years of experience in custodial/janitorial work preferred.
- High school graduate or GED required, college level work preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English required.
- Basic computer skills desirable.
- Good interpersonal skills desirable.
- Supervisory experience in custodial/janitorial work preferred.
- Experience in the healthcare industry a plus.
