Hospital Security Sergeant

Responsible for operational and administrative planning, organizing, leadership and direction of PHT security activities for the assigned shift, in the absence of the Supervisor.
Selection Criteria:
- High School diploma required. College-level coursework in Criminal Justice or related area preferred.
- Prior military or law enforcement experience preferred.
- At least five years paid security experience in a healthcare environment with a high degree of public interaction required.
- High degree of computer literacy required.
- Ability to communicate in clear and concise written and spoken English required.
- Current Driver's license or ability to acquire immediately upon hire required.
- At least one year of supervisory experience preferred.
- Must possess competent presentation skills and be able to effectively deal with people at all levels, both internal and external to the organization.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification with at least 6 months validity required.
- Ability to demonstrate literacy in using computerized information systems.
