Shift: Evenings 3p-11:30p
This is advanced practical nursing work in the care and treatment of physically or mentally ill patients. Employees in this classification perform a variety of nursing care assignments in one or more inpatient or outpatient areas, requiring more advanced knowledge and skills of practical nursing. Emphasis of the work is on performance of specialized as well as more difficult and responsible duties in patient care, giving assistance to physicians and nurses, and performing instructional tasks. Duties are carried out in accordance with established nursing service regulations and policies, accepted practical nursing care standards and special instructions from nursing or medical superiors. Work is assigned and reviewed by professional superiors who evaluate patient treatment and care and review completed records.
Selection Criteria:
- LPN required.
- Florida LPN license or eligibility required.
- Twelve months experience in Medical/Surgical nursing or specialty area preferred.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification with at least 6 months validity required.
- Ability to demonstrate literacy in using computerized information systems.
- Completion of 30 Hour Florida Board of Nursing Approved IV Certification Course is required.
