Position Summary:
The Practice Manager 2 directs and supervises the day-to-day functions of the assigned group practice in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. ThePractice Manager is responsible for carrying out all established policies. Serves as a liaison between the practice and assigned group practice. The incumbent may assist and act in a confidential capacity to help manage, formulate, determine and effectuate management process and polices. The incumbent may attend management meetings and may be involved directly or indirectly in the decision making process around confidential management decisions. Position requires exercise of independent judgment.

Duties & Responsibilities:
The overall operational responsibility for the routing business and clinical functions through administrative and clinical staff including from desk, medical records, nursing, and ancillary services to ensure maximum utilization of resources and the efficient delivery of services of his or her assigned practice. Monitors patient flow through the practice to ensure appropriate utilization of physician time and staff coverage. Monitors or reviews patient registration and data entry into the system for timeliness, accuracy, and thoroughness. Reviews and handles patient complaints.Reviews charges, visit encounters, and cash receipts for daily. Provides physician and staff training as required. Identifies practice/business development opportunities to increase the practices market share. Recommends implementation/purchase of new services/equipment. Oversees the daily/monthly expenditures, staffing and overtime hours. Evaluates each employee's performance and provides appropriate guidance and feedback. Ensure that the master schedules, appointment scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling of all clinics are monitored and reports are distributed to faculty and staff. Responsible for the on-going training and communication of changes in policies and procedures through feedback to staff and staff meetings. Continue to develop and implement new procedures and processes to improve quality and quantity of program. Experience:
Generally requires 3 to 5 years of related experience.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred.

License Certification:
Valid license or certification is required as needed, based on the job or specialty.

Knowledge Skill Abilities:
Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with critical thinking and professional composure. Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to exercise sound and independent judgment. Knowledge and skill in use of job appropriate technology and software applications.

Physical Demands:
Job function requires frequent sitting, standing or walking for extended period of time. Must be able to carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Jobs in this group require frequent visual acuity toperform activities related to extended use of computers. Work Environment:
Jobs in this group are required to function in a fast paced environment with occasional high pressure or emergent and stressful situations. Frequent interaction with a diverse populationincluding team members, providers, patients, insurance companies and other members of the public. Function is subject to inside environmental conditions, with occasional outdoor exposures. Exposure to various environments such as: communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a hospital and medical office environment. May also be exposed to needle sticks, airborne infections, medical gases, X-Ray, chemical exposures andother potential hazards. Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when exposed to infectious/clinical hospital environment.
