Status: On Call/Pool
Shift: Rotating 24/7
Employees in this classification are responsible for use of radiological equipment in diagnostic examinations in a clinic, emergency room or main hospital laboratory area. A related responsibility is for assisting radiologists or other medical specialists in performing fluoroscopic procedures. Employees in this classification operate stationary and mobile x-ray equipment for diagnostic purposes, taking chest, body section, and other radiographs.
Selection Criteria:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology; Florida state license as a Radiology Technologist required.
- Employees hired BEFORE 2/1/2017 MUST obtain the required ARRT Certification by 12/31/2019. Employees who have completed training at JHS may be granted a grace period of 6 months upon hire to obtain the required certification.
- Any new hires with external training must have the required certification at the time of hire.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification with at least 6 months validity required.
- Ability to demonstrate literacy in using computerized information systems.
