Shift : 4pm - 12midnight (Rotating Weekends Included)

Position Summary
The Dispatcher will coordinate, control, and dispatch all levels of service and patient transportation for JHS.
Receives calls from JHS employees for patient transportation related services.
Calls vendors for the proper units for patients discharges.
Ascertains pertinent information from the caller to determine level of service transport for the patient. Investigates service inquiries, incident reports, and customer service related issues.
Completes daily, weekly, and monthly reports assigned by MTC manager.
Works in Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting purposes.
Ensures that all contractual requirements are met successfully.
Works with other departments to identify emerging trends.
Participates in training sessions for Dispatcher Certification.
Selection Criteria
Graduation from high school required; technical degree preferred. Minimum 1 year experience within a high profile
EMS system, or similar related background preferred. CAD and data entry experience preferred. Strong personnel
management and staff development skills preferred. Demonstrated technical knowledge pertaining to
communication equipment preferred. Ability to perform in a high stress environment required. Ability to comprehend
legal contracts. A strong background in customer service desired. Emergency Dispatcher Certification, EMT, or
Paramedic training preferred
