Shift: Days
Responsible for assuring the integrity of the Corporate Credentialing Department by maintaining a state of readiness for licensing and accrediting agencies, and participating in the daily operations of the Corporate Credentialing Department, to assure effective/efficient systems to support the credentialing process and the organization. Maintains knowledge of regulatory changing requirements and possess the ability to facilitate change in operational systems to be in compliance with regulations as promulgated by JCAHO, NCQA, HIPAA, CMS, AAAHC, Florida State Statues and other regulatory bodies as deemed necessary. Provides education to internal and external individuals, departments and agencies when required, as well as direction and support for the functional team of any of the before mentioned agencies.
Selection Criteria:
- Associate degree/ 2 years college coursework preferred, or BA is preferred.
- 1- 3 years experience as a Medical Staff Services Professional or Credentialing Specialist /Coordinator is preferred.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft applications, such Excel and Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Certification by National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) as Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) is preferred.
- Position requires exercise of independent judgment.
